Soft wash cleaning is a method of cleaning exterior surfaces using low-pressure water and specialized cleaning solutions. Soft wash cleaning is typically used on surfaces such as roofs, exterior walls, siding and decks, and can help to improve the appearance of your home or business while also extending the lifespan of these surfaces.
How does the soft wash process differ from traditional power washing?
Unlike traditional pressure washing, which uses high-pressure water to blast away dirt and grime, soft wash cleaning is gentler on surfaces and is designed to remove dirt, algae, mold, and other contaminants without causing damage.
What types of surfaces can be cleaned using soft wash?
Soft wash cleaning is typically used on surfaces such as roofs, exterior walls, siding, and decks, and can help to improve the appearance of your home or business while also extending the lifespan of these surfaces.

How does the drone help with soft wash and pressure wash cleaning?
Drones are a very helpful tool in soft wash cleaning for a few reasons. First, they provide an aerial view of the property, which can help the cleaning crew to identify areas that need to be cleaned. Additionally, drones can help to reach areas that may be difficult to access by traditional means, such as high roofs or hard-to-reach corners. By using a drone to deliver cleaning solutions and water, the cleaning crew can avoid using ladders, scaffolding or aerial lifts, which can be dangerous, time-consuming and expensive for the customer. Moreover, no crew member will ever walk your roof which ensures no damage to your roof tiles, shingles or metal and is much safer for our crew members. Finally, drones can provide a more efficient and cost-effective method of cleaning large or complex properties, as they can cover a greater area in less time than traditional cleaning methods. Overall, using a drone for soft wash and pressure wash cleaning can help to improve safety, efficiency, and accuracy, while also providing a superior, cost effective cleaning experience.
Do I need to be home during the cleaning process?
Most customers are not at home when we clean their homes, but please remember to close all windows, clear your driveway, and put away fragile decorations. Additionally, we will require access to an exterior water source (i.e. garden hose connection) and also may require access to an exterior power outlet.
How long does a typical soft wash cleaning take?
The duration of a typical soft wash cleaning will depend on a variety of factors, including the size and complexity of the property, the type of surfaces being cleaned, and the level of cleaning required. As a general rule, however, most soft wash cleaning jobs can be completed in a few hours or less. For example, a small single-story home with a simple roof design might only take an hour or two to clean, while a larger, multi-story home with a more complex roof design and multiple surfaces to clean could take several hours. Keep in mind that unexpected factors such as inclement weather, difficult-to-access areas, or extensive staining may extend the cleaning time required.
How often should my roof and/or siding be cleaned?
The frequency with which a roof should be soft washed will depend on a variety of factors, including the type of roof, the age of the roof, the climate and environment in which the property is located, and the level of debris and contaminants present. Here in Florida, where our homes are subject to high levels of precipitation, heat and humidity more frequent soft wash cleanings will be required to maintain the integrity and appearance of the roof as opposed to homes in northern climates. As a general rule, most Florida roofs should be soft washed every 12 – 24 months to remove dirt, mold, and other contaminants that can build up over time. It’s important to note that some types of roofs may require more frequent cleanings than others. For example, roofs made of asphalt shingles may require more frequent cleanings than roofs made of metal or tile. Additionally, if you notice staining, discoloration, or other signs of damage to your roof, it’s a good idea to have it inspected and cleaned as soon as possible to prevent further damage.
As for vinyl siding, major vinyl siding manufacturers recommend a thorough cleaning every 12 to 24 months. Removing buildups of mold, algae and oxidation help keep your siding at its best. Ultimately, the best way to determine how often your roof or siding should be soft washed is to consult with a soft wash cleaning professional.

My solar panels have never been professionally cleaned. What is the best way to clean the panels and what are the benefits?
Solar panels should be cleaned as often as necessary to maintain their efficiency, but the frequency of cleaning depends on several factors such as the location, weather conditions, and the tilt angle of the panels. In general, solar panels should be cleaned at least once or twice a year, but it could be more often in areas with high levels of dust, pollen, or animal droppings. Dirty solar panels can reduce their efficiency by 30% or more, therefore, soft washing solar panels with a drone is an ideal way to clean the panels because high pressure is not used, the chemical solution will not damage the solar panels, and no one has to walk on your roof to access your solar panels.
